Helping Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Reach Their Highest Potential

Fordham Graduate School of Social Service in partnership with Creative LifeStyles, Inc., the Fordham Faculty Working Group on Disability, AHRC NY and Gather for Good, Inc., invites you to a forum that addresses the needs and potential of the intellectually disabled in New York City. Learn more about the ongoing movement to empower this population, recent research, best practices & challenges in the field, and how you can help these individuals reach their highest potential.

Creative LifeStyles, Inc. will continue this discussion with an information session about their Employment Services Program for individuals with Special Needs. This is an excellent opportunity for non-profit and for-profit organizations (including colleges & universities) in the five boroughs and Westchester, to partner as employment and/or volunteer placement sites for individuals with special needs in the Bronx that have expressed a strong interest in working and living more independent lives. Each client placed is paid a minimum wage by the state, and is accompanied by a job coach during each placement.

This FREE event is open to non-profits, for-profits, social workers, social work students, activists, and anyone looking to foster change in our communities. Join us to learn how you can have a positive impact in this movement to change lives. #changethenarrative
